72 E body electronics ? - 05/04/14 04:07 AM

A friend is trying to sort out the electronics in his 72 Challenger. Apparently it has some type of one year only electronics. It has a module that connects a seatbelt sensor and several other sensors that control whether the car will start. Hopefully this makes sense. The goal is to bypass this. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

run the "st" terminal on the ign switch out to the yellow wire on the "ign" terminal on the starter relay. Make sure the the "grn" terminal on the starter relay is being grounded in park/neutral via the NSS switch (in trans or clutch pedal) or just ground the male "grn" terminal on the starter relay to the nearby starter relay case mounting bolt. This will negate the safety feature & let it crank/start in any gear

The seat belt inter lock system was only used in 74.

Thanks everyone! I haven't seen the car but it's been in the family for 15-20 years and is somewhat of a frankencar. I know very little about E bodies but he told me the car had the system on it and it's a 72. I'll verify. Thanks again! I can always rely on folks here for help.
