Can anyone help me out with the part number for the special u joint to connect a large yoke to small driveshaft.

Neapco (a stout piece) part #2-0527. I believe there are other brands/numbers in the archives

NAPA#347 = 2 1/8" x 2 5/8" 7260x7290 conversion u-joint (Basterd joint) 
FYI...u-joint size,inside of yoke/outside of c-clip on caps
2 1/8" = 7260
2 5/8" = 7290
3 5/8 = 1330
