EDELBROCK SP2P-2 ~ ANYONE REMEMBER AND/OR USE ONE? - 12/26/08 06:10 AM

I forgot I had this, but I found this intake scrounging around for some parts for someone, wondered if it was worth the trouble installing it on one of my 360 powered Magnums.

only if you want to slow it down...Very restrictive, was intended to improve fuel mileage but never really proved any gains...Definely hurt power..

I remember when it came out in the original gas wars of the early/mid 70's. Small runners for high velocity. Does the one you found have 318 sized ports

I don't know what size runners it has.

So it's not worth the trouble/effort to put it on?

I would try it, it'd be worth the experiment. are the port openings 318 or 340/360 sized? I have a single plane streetmaster with small plenum/ports that is going onto a mileage 318. I wonder how the two would compare. Can ya post a pic

Had one on a '77 318 Volare'. As I recall, even that motor started running out of air about 4500 rpm or so. I have always thought they'd be great on a 273 but I've never tried it. A 360? Wouldn't even waste a gasket set.
