I lost the key to the trunk for my '66 Chrysler 300. Are there any tricks to opening it without a key or do I need a locksmith at this point?

Remove the back seat and open the trunk from the inside then take the lock to a locksmith and get a key made.

Then pay the skinniest neightborhood kid a buck to crawl back in there with a 1/2-9/16 combo box wrench & take off the 2 bolts for the lock plate. EDIT If you can see the 2 bolts in a straight line of sight & you have enough extensions you could get at it with a ratchet/socket. Then if the lock cyl itself has the chrome removeable cover you can rekey it by mix/matching the tumblers/spacers to match your current key or a different key. PM if you need info when you get to that point.
