what master cyl

I am replacing my front drum brakes to disc brakes on a !966 ply fury,non power drums to non power disc, what master cyl do i use for a direct bolt up.

I use 70 C body masters for disc/drum either power or manual.Have one on my 65 and the 62.Mines been on for at least 15 years.Mine are manual the 62s are power.Rocky

I have gone around in circles with several different master cylinder installs, it has been a pain in the a$$.

First, My suggestion is do and buy parts exactly what Cass Dr. Diff suggests. it will keep you from pulling your hair out.

if you want to use the late model aluminum with plastic reservoir it must be a 1-1/8" bore the application is a late 80's dodge truck or Grand Fury, I believe.

If you don't mind the stock appearing stuff then buy a master from the same car the disk brakes came from.

I am changing out the late model aluminum, manual disk brakes master on my Fury and going with a power disk brake set-up through Rock-Auto for a 68 C-Body. $160 to my door.

I am tired of standing on the pedal for 4000 lbs to stop.

For manual brakes you want a smaller bore MC. I went with a late model 15/16" bore MC and it works great. Ended up going through Dr Diff as I needed the adapter plate as well.

larger bore for disk drakes, smaller for drum.
