wiper linkage problem

wiper linkage problem - 12/30/13 06:18 PM

The bar that connects the wiper motor shaft to the linkage on a '74 Charger came loose and is laying in the cowl area. What do I need to repair and re-attach, and where can I find the hardware?

The end of the bar that attached to motor shaft had part of a nylon clip in it, but other end at wiper arm linkage was conmpletely empty.

THANKS!!!

I think you need either Dorman 49447 or 49449 bushing kit. Do a quick online search for those and see if they look like what you need

Those kits are assortments of bushings of which two will be close to what you need. I am going through this right now and the bushings in this kit are close but just a hair off where my linkage keeps popping out.

I ordered these and am waiting for a couple myself:

The linkage takes 4 total of these (assuming 3sp wipers). I would replace all of them if you take the time to pull the linkage.
