I bought 70 HP 440 that had some stock looking rods but didn't say LY on then instead they had DF6 S3049 BX.

A '70 HP 440 would have the heavy rods (often called six-pack rods), the forging number is 2951908.

I know but i don't think the rods are stock

Look on the other side for the forging numbers

Yeah, they're a stock rod but as Cab said, look on the other side of the rod!


Either way they have 3/8" rod bolts that are the weak part of the rod.
