gaping the plugs with MSD

any ideas about gaping the plugs in a BB with 180psi cylinder pressure and a MSD StreetFire ignition box?

I have my plugs gapped to .045 with the Streetfire box.

.045 on mine, I think with normal run of the mill plugs that's about all they will open and still be parallel electrode to strap.

.045 with my 6al, I know I could go larger, but I doubt there would be any benefit.

umm, the coil fires the plugs not the box. while a .45 is great for say a blaster2 coil it might cause problems with a stock coil. all the box does is tell the coil to fire. or i'm confused. the multi-spark of a MSD ECU might not allow a stock coil to 'recharge' enough to bridge a .45 gap repeatedly. just thinking out loud.......

Good news, the coil is a blaster by MSD, so we are set with the gaps at .045.

The box also plays a big role in the quality of the spark. It must be able to drive enough current to handle the coil being used (some coils have low impedance and deliver high secondary current). The rate at which the box interrupts the current also directly affects secondary voltage level.
