426 HEMI BLOCK CODES - 10/15/13 10:07 PM

I HAVE A NEW OLD STOCK 426 HEMI BLOCK WITH A CASTING NUMBER OF 2468330-M. MOST HAVE A -1 WHAT DOES THE -M STAND FOR? ALSO THE MACHINED PAD UP FRONT HAS MG144 668X STAMPED ON IT. I'VE SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND LOOKED THROUGH A FEW BOOKS AND CANT FIND ANY THING THAT EVEN COMES CLOSE TO MATCHING UP. CAN ANY ONE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANKS

Welcome to Moparts but just a hint please turn off the caps. On this site it's considered yelling and impolite. Thanks.

I'm sure someone knows for sure but I think the M after the part no means it is one of the new motors cast a few years ago and not a 64 to 74 oem cast. What is the date cast into the block?

J 30 2 is cast near the casting number on the side of the block

The M signifies a Mopar Performance block cast in 90's or so.
