New guy with a question

Hey guys, first post here and i wanted to say "hi".
I've also got a bit of a problem that I've run into with my 67 Satellite, specifically the 727 trans.
I'm trying to install a driveshaft, but it seems that the 2 driveshaft yokes that I have will not slip onto the output shaft of the two 727 transmissions that I have, it acts like the yokes are to small (?).
I'm really baffled by this, i was under the assumption that, all 727's output shafts were the same (?).
I went this morning and bought another driveshaft/yoke from a 1970-1972 duster with a 727, but it doesn't fit either.
The One spare 727 I have, I was told, was from a 66 family car (big car) and the 727 in my 67, I was told, was from a truck BUT both output shafts on both trans are the same/identical.
Neither trans has a brake (RV) and no transfer case mounting.

Is there any rust in the splines?

On the long yoke-yes and
the short yoke-no
Both trans' output shafts are fairly clean,
BUT,
the yokes are not even getting to the splines, they are both stopping prior to hitting the splines.
In fact, the long yoke's splines are set back about 4" +/- inside the yoke, and the smooth yoke tube won't even slide over the output shafts.
I'm baffled....
This dang 67 has been an exercise in frustration.

Welcome aboard! Yes some yokes have the splines at a differnt depth inside the yoke & not sure what the app/reason for that is but you want the most spline engagement you can. Any chance you are trying 904 yokes

You may be onto something there, I know the 904 yokes are smaller (ID).
I was wondering if the long yoke I have is for a 904 (?), (I wish there was a number on them to identify them).
The shorter yoke I bought today was SAID to be for a 727, but now I'm starting to wonder (?).
Is there anyway to tell them apart?
I put some black multi grease on the beveled edge of my trans output shaft and spun the yoke around, you can see in pic 2 i think, the black grease ring (smear) around the beveled yoke edge, it looks to small.

Anyone have a spare KNOWN 727 yoke they'll swap me for one of mine?
