Ignition Cylinder Removal

Ignition Cylinder Removal - 12/15/08 07:01 PM

Is the cylinder removal procedure almost the same as a GM? Steering/whl, lock/plate, directional switch, and key in run. And around one or three o'clock you press the pin to release the cylinder from the column? Thanks for your help. Like I said when I first joined up. I'm a GM Tech and this is my first old MOPAR..

Actually, in the article they never removed the lock cylinder, they took the whole lock out.
But yes, you put the key in, turn it to run and put a small screwdriver or ice pick into the tab and the cylinder pops right out.
I just took the lock out of the glove box and used the same procedure but the tab is on the far end (from the key, anyway) of the cylinder.
