Brass freeze plugs, do it now or you will do it when the engine is in the car.
Maybe a cam, the cheap summit cam is an update over the stock one. But your 318 might be a roller cam motor, mid 85 is the time frame, you can still run a flat tappet cam in it,but you'd need the pushrods for an earlier 318.
I would eyeball the bearings while you have the pan off. Other than that, I can;t think of anything.

Was this motor already in the 66 dart or is it being pulled out of the 85 then refreshed then swapped into the 66 for the first time?. The 392 "center" sump (more toward the front but is called a center sump) pan has the sump about an inch further rearward then the other one I have (I forget the #) & they use different pickups. Not sure if that will be an issue or not (I will check the pan # on my 65 dart/80's 318 tomorrow & the clearance) but something to keep in mind as you wouldn't want to get 1 foot away from having the eng on the mounts then have a problem with that. To answer your Q if the pickup is moderately clogged & wont clean out I'd get a new one. I would replace the rod bearings since it is so easy to do (unless they're pristine) & pull a main cap & see what it looks like. Eng inverted on the stand-Cork side pan gaskets go OVER the end black neoprene seal on the rear & go under the black neoprene seal on the front. Might use a thick wide/even swath of clear silicone on brake kleened front/rear block/intake surfaces instead of the supplied gaskets (most are too thick) & can hold the intake up just a hair & cause a front water port leak over time (let the silicone sit up overnight). I'd suggest the composite intake gaskets sprayed with part # 99MA Permatex "high tack" the red spray. Goes on light/even & is extremely tacky & seals very well & holds the gaskets in place. The black felpro "printo seal" gaskets with the blue borders around the ports are the best ones. Get a good timing set (after you install it dot to dot then turn it to 6/12 so you can put the rotor on #1 plug wire (easier to remember) & as you know you want that new cam to fire immediately. EDIT Meant to say 12/12 o'clock

meant to say 12/12 O'clock then set the rotor under #1 plug wire

If the 66 273 K frame is the same as the 64 the driver side motor mount will need altered or you won't be able to use all three bolts. The mount has to go on the opposite side of the lugs on the block.

When I was mocking up the 87 318 to go into my 65 Cuda I noticed that the driver's side head needed some grinding for the stock exhaust manifold to sit flat. Also the exhaust port/manifold overlap is real thin. The later ports are larger and the manifold will just barely overlap. I ended up using steel shim exhaust manifold gaskets so they wouldn't blow out. Look closely at that.
As for freeze plugs, they tend to rust from the inside out, so they look good til just before they blow.

i am going to run the HIPO 340 manifolds so i can get the exhaust bent up for the 360 that will go in its place.
i will keep an eye out for the motor mount fitment.
also ordering the parts today/tomorrow so will keep you posted on the build.
