97 Cummins Dually NV4500 NP241 DHD Questions/Issues...

Hey Guys...My lovely wife was driving the truck today and lost all ability to move in either direction. I assumed it was clutch issues, but when I arrived, it turned out that if I put the T-case in 4L we're fine, but got nothing in 2H or 4H...just kind of a clicking noise... Any ideas what I'm up against/looking at for issues?

Time to replace/rebuild the T case

That much I figured out without help!

The transfer case was gone through not long ago because of another issue. About the only thing not replaced was the planetaries. Not sure if I missed something or what. It was performing flawlessly until about a week ago, when it showed it's first "hiccup", let's call it. Went from that to "no-go" in short order.

we had one like that in our shop on a 1st gen. it was the coupler between tranny and t-case, splines were gone
