Need measurements 71/72/73/74 RR 4-speed

I am working on this 72RR for my buddy but the previous owner had never installed the REVERSE light indicator on the dash. I dont have a reference point. Is there anyone who can tell me where it has to go? Measurements would be amazing. I am assuming it goes between the ashtray and the glovebox. the height is throwing me off a little bit, its supposed to go into the hole and tighten up with a the supplied nut from behind

Also, anyone know if they make an LED replacement for the bulb inside the housing. I hooked it up to the battery and it isn't bright..One other question, from what I saw in the FSM, the black wire from the indicator goes and connects to the reverse switch located ON the tranny?

Reverse light indicator on '72RR? I've never had one on mine and I've owned it since '75.

It was an auto to begin with though...
