440 oil pan

My 70 Challenger 440-6 has an oil leak
I want to reseal the pan and timing cover
can someone tell if there will be enough clearance between the
K frame once the steering linkage is removed ?

More than likely you will need to lift the engine...

Not really,there is only about 2" of the pan above the K frame.

No problems on the RB, B and 426 Hemi motors in the E and B bodys to remove the oil pan and timing covers once the steering crossbar is out of the way

Done that a lot more than once
