Chrysler Tech?--OBD-II system?

Does Chrysler have a standard "drive cycle" procedure"? I have an 01 Dodge Intrepid that I replaced the drivers side cat, downstream O2 sensor, leak detection pump, vapor canister and fuel filler neck and cap. Cleared codes with a scanner and trying to get the IM monitors to go ready as fast as possible to get emission test.

When I did that on my Durango (fresh computer, etc.) I went for a 50 mile drive. That took care of it, but I also have a scan tool to make sure. It got the cat nice and hot, too.

Yes, there is a drive cycle. Usually about 30 miles at a constant speed. Take it out on the highway and come back, it should set the monitor. Do you have a DRB? Not sure if a generic scanner will show whether the monitors are set.

Under normal conditions when you're not trying to get it to pass an emissions test, the PCM needs to see things like operating temp and the 02 switching to set monitors. Sometimes we'd have to let the cars sit overnight and get cold, then drive them first thing in the morning the next day but that was mostly with Evap stuff. Also, the Evap monitor usually won't run if the tank is more than 85% full or less than 15% full but the drive cycle should override all that though if you can do it.

my rule of thumb drive cycle:
fuel lever 1/4 to 3/4 tank. (the evap test will not run unless it sees this level.)
cold start (cts and ambient air temp +/- 10 degrees.)
let idle in park for two minutes.(this is for the O2 heaters)
part throttle to 55 mph, hold for 5 minutes. (this runs the evap cycle)
3 throttle off, no brake decels to 25 mph. (egr)
complete stop, in gear, brake on for 2 minutes. (cat)
this works about 99 percent of the time.

My lower end scanner (Auto Xray) will tell me if the monitors have been set...
