B Body HP Manifolds in a C Body - 07/26/13 09:29 PM

Will B Body HP exhaust manifolds work in my 65 Newport ? I might be crazy but finally building this car. Stroking the 383 to 438

Passenger side manifolds are the same. Drivers side has a different output location. Not sure if it will have a clearance issue with the steering column. Best thing to do is mock them up and see if it clears everything.

Yes, I had a set in my 66 Newport with a 383. If I remember right, the driver side pipe took kind of a sharp turn right out of the manifold, but nothing super severe. You'll have to fabricate pipes or have an exhaust shop do it,don't think anyone is gonna have those for sale pre-bent.

Driver's side c-body HP manifolds are not that hard to find nor are they expensive.

The exhaust will route different than stock, but that is the only problem. I ran them in my old 69 Polara wagon (383).

I happen to have 2 driver's side HP C-body manifolds. You are welcome to one of them if you need it.
