thinking about getting a dash pad with a plastic core,any feedback? the only reason im considering a plastic core is because i dont have a good core to send in.Ive always in the past gotten the steel core ones.Any feedback would be appreciated Thanks ALAN

I have one that has been in the car for more than 6 years. It definately shows signs of warping. If you look closely you can tell where the studs bolt it to the dash. It is not bad enough for me to go thru the hassle and expense of swapping it out. My other e body had the dash redone by just dashes. about double the price but for a 70 Challenger it was/is still spot on. I do not know about the newer fiberglasss core pads but the older one I have did not hold up as well as I wanted.

Don't be tempted using the plastic core...Use the metal core...
