New fuel issue.

just posted about a fuel issue thats been going on for about a week. Yesterday I added jet extenders for the secondaries on a holley 850. the float was way high initially. I now have it adjusted so just a little fuel comes out the bowl when the car is rocked. Driving home after doing this the car wants to idle at about 2000 rpm and the car does not shut down when I let off the gas like it use to. Seems to slowly come down. Ideas?????

Is it a four corner idle setup? Maybe get that tuned up? Maybe you are having issues in the distributor- old, cracked, dirty, not advancing? Carb return spring in good shape? Any vac. leaks? PCV valve/power brake hose in good shape and connected?
