Thought it was a fuel issue

Thought it was a fuel issue - 07/02/13 05:27 PM

One day right after purchasing fuel, I noticed the car has a mini surge to it and a slight ever so slight miss to it at a higher rpm usually over 4000. Idles and starts perfect! runs great up to that rpm range. got the fuel out of there and changed plugs. power is back but still missing ever so slightly. Any ideas? timing is still where it always has been. Thanks!

Might block the metering rods up & try it out on the power circuit & see what it does. Easy to do & change back & no cost. Might see if rotor phasing is borderline (unhook/cap vac adv & see if it gets better/worse or no change)

I had very similar issue. Capping the Vac Advance (as Robert suggested for you) stopped the problem. I know you haven't changed the timing, but maybe if you have Ethanol in your fuel now it has created a change?
