Reproduction 68-69 AM-FM radio - 06/30/13 11:08 PM

Anyone have one of these reproduction 68-69 B-Body AM-FM radios?

Compared to the price of an original, they cost a bit more than an original but it has modern technology and claims better sound and reception.

Curious if anyone has real world experience to share.

I am considering buying one for the convertible.

I have never had one in hand, but they do use the same boards we use
for our FM conversions. The company that makes these boards has recently made some various improvments in design . We do alot of testing with these boards .

Not sure who makes them but when I first read of them being reproduced in MCG, the name mentioned was Retro Radio, www.retroradio.biz
They are available from Herbs, Classic Industries, Year One and probably others. Price is $650 range.
Haven't seen one listed for '69 A bodies and not sure how much different a '69 B body one would be.

Their have been some issues in the past, but they have been good about replacing
bad boards . Their newest version hopefully has most/all the bugs worked out .

As far as a repro radio for the 69 Dart, I don't belive they make it, yet. The B body would be simular other than the push buttons, lense , bezel and mounting stud location.
I just got finished doing a 180 watt FM conversion on a 69 Dart AM tonight as a matter o fact .
Here is how we do it..
