Search didn't find cleaning yello washer bottle- help

Searched couldn't find thread on cleaning washer bottle and radiator overflow. Someone had a household item and instructions on cleaning yellowed plastic. Thanks for any help.

get a 5 gallon pail, fill it with hot water, and a cup of bleach. submerge the bottle, making sure it fills up. let it soak overnight. repeat until happy with the results. you might have to go stronger, but don't worry, it's safe. bleach comes in a plastic bottle, right?
