440 HEADMAN SHORTY HEADERS? - 06/03/13 02:27 PM

Anyone use these?
Hedman#500-78070
I was thinking of squeezing them into the 440 Dart!!
I have the motor moved back 3" and have a K member without mounting pads motor-plate. I realize its not optimal for HP but I probably wont be able to afford the TTi's until September and The car is practically ready to go now!!

Don't know if they'll fit, but Hedman is a quality product. Let us know how they work.

I have a set of these on my 86 dodge 150 pickup with a 440. They are not listed to fit the truck but they do perfectly. The thing I notice is that they hug the motor pretty close so I would think they would fit with no problem especially where you have more clearance on the K member. All 4 tubes come to center and go straight down and then angle downwards towards the the bottom back corner of the base.

Is it a 65? You are probably looking at custom units, or modifying something with a 3" setback. BBD has a sub forum about early a's you may want to check things out there. HTH, Steve

It's a 71 Dart.
I sold the 65bbBarracuda 7 years or so ago.

I was going to buy a set off of the Race parts section but was informed by my Brother he had tried the set that has the collector in the middle.
Power or manual steering , it hits the box and is a no go.
