ok, so this is now the second time i have lost brakes due to this.

on my power booster, it has a threaded/adjustable end that goes out of the booster and into the master cylender. you can adjust it for brake pedal travel/feel. reman a-body 73 booster

problem is, it keep adjusting itself to the shortest length, which means that i have minimal brakes at that point, and LOTS of travel.

first time i tried it with nothing on. last time i used about a dozen wrapes of pipe tape on the threads, and that has worked reasonably well for the past year. until last night.

so my question for you guys:
how do you get the thing to stay/keep adjustment?
what is the easy adjustment procedure? ive had to pull the master about a dozen times each time. theres gotta be a better way....

At that point I'd JB weld the nub threads in place . I'd measure it's protrusion distance from the booster flange & would adj it so that dimention is ~.060" less than the depth of the rear piston "thimble" to the M/C flange, gasket included (if one is used)
