the 904 trans is shorter, you will need a longer one,you will also need the smaller 904 slip yoke.

IMHO,it is best to slide the yoke in till it bottoms out and measure from center of yoke to center of yoke then subtract 1" for best fit.

in my truck the shaft with 904 was at 54" with the 727 it is 52"

adding a couple inches to the shaft you have will give a ballpark measurement while looking for a ready to run shaft.

As you can see 2 inches isn't going to do it right.

We should have traded LOL, although I asusme the dana takes a shorter drive shaft as well. How fast did you go? I saw a picture of your car from 2 weeks ago.

I actually traded with Chris.

Not too quick, but faster than the car went before. Carb was about 1" from the hood so I dont think it was breathing well, missing and breaking up, 10.79 lifting @900'. Now the car has a scoop.

Lots of tuning to do.

Sounds like theres lots left. I have a doorslammer race next weekend at Mission, would like to take the demon to Pacific as soon as I can, made some changes over the winter to see if i can get my 10 second timeslip with it.
