How much stronger is an 18 spline hemi 4 speed than the regular 23 spline 4 speed.

Quite a bit actually, BUT I do not see many problems with fine splines until someone puts slicks on and an aggressive clutch in. I then see the speed gears starting to weld to the output shaft, the hemi box has bushings in that area. Keep good bearings and clean lube in a fine spline and it will live.

is a centerforce dual friction too aggesive?? doing a 500 stroker, will it live?

NO and Yes. This is what I use. 'Have been for several years.

I would steer away from a center force, I have had and seen nothing but trouble with them in the past for hipo use.

I've had a few of them and not a problem out of them at all.
