slant 6 cam removal

I have a 225 short block and need to pull out the cam & lifters. How do I remove the oil pump shaft in order to pull the cam out?

I have the engine on a stand, oil pan off, and the engine upside-down. The oil pump rotor shaft is captured on both ends. On one end is the gear that drives off the cam, and the other end has the oil pump rotor with the lobes. It looks like both are pressed on the shaft. This is my first teardown of a /6.

The oil pump has to come out, remove the bolts holding it to the block.

Depending on what pump is on the motor it will have either 5 or 6 bolts holding it on. Distributor has to come out too.

I previously removed all the bolts for the pump, and was prying against the block to remove it, but it wouldn't come off. Now, that the pan is off I see why. The oil pump can't come off because the oil pump gear is holding it on.

Oil pump lobes on one end, and the gear is on the other end of the shaft. Looks like the lobes and shaft are one piece, and I'm guessing the gear has to come off the shaft somehow. I don't want to start prying if there's a better way to remove it.
The cam is able to rotate and pull out ~1/2", but gets hung up on the oil pump gear.

Nevermind, I got it. The pump took some careful prying to get out of the block. All the grease held the pump housing onto the block pretty tight. I didn't realize the gear and the entire sleeve would slide out with the pump housing. The cam pulled out the front easily.
