70 Challenger / Hemi updated Pictures - 01/18/13 02:01 AM

Hi Guys,
I need some help with my door glass attaching hardware. What size bolts or screws are correct to attach the metal runner/channel onto the glass. The runner/channel goes from side to side. A picture would help.1970 Challenger which I did not take apart

Re: Door Glass 70 Challenger - 01/20/13 04:22 AM

You need the factory service manual, epsecially the body manual It's been a long time ago since I put my last 1970 Challenger together, I'm thinking there like the glass in my 1971 duster, dual plastic inserts with screws, no bolts or nuts

Thanks guys
I found what I needed. The front glass side to side channel gets a short large headed screw and the rear channel gets the 1/4-20 bolt on the metal bracket attached to the glass

WOW!! beautiful car!!

I think this glass came out of a 71 challenger, it's still complete for the most part. It'll be the same for your 70 I believe. I took some pictures for you. The track on a 74 that I have here, uses 2 1/4-20 hex head bolts, it apares.
Hope this helps some.

You probably already have this book right?

Bob. Show us more! F8 looks soooo NICE!

Right side is pretty tight but there should be enough room for valve cover.

That is one good looking car,one of the best colors and has the best gas cap!(not the caps that stick out and ruin the body line).

Nick,
Used RPM for all natural metal. Easy to use and works great.
