carb paint removal

What is the best method to remove paint off a carb? Just received a carb for a 38 dodge that someone thought would look better if it was painted. What is the best way to remove the paint from the carb

Just a question but would soaking the carb in acetone damage the body or other parts of the carb?

Acetone won't harm the carb hard parts but it can do a number on gaskets and soft parts. If you are rebuilding it you can use Acetone no problem, if not I'd suggest less aggressive chemicals.
