1970 plymouth gtx

I have a 70 gtx that is black with burnt orange interior dash and seats are orange but the carpet was black somebody told me since it was a 4 speed car is why they put black carpet in it or do you think somebody changed it out at some point thanks.

70 B body 4 speed cars got black carpet regardless of interior color.
