Need help, don't know where to look

Need help, don't know where to look - 11/19/08 01:03 PM

I tore up the bumper cover on my wife's 2003 PT Cruiser GT. A new one from the stealership is $490. I'd like to find a used one or a cheaper aftermarket one.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction to find one? My google-fu is low and I can't seem to find one.

HELP!!

Go to a local salvage yard and ask them. Most of them are on a locator line & can put it on a search for you, know availablility, price, and location & get it in a couple of days.

I've called all the local J/Y's. No one can find one. They tried the lookup service, but they either did not want to help or could not find one.

I can't believe that as many of these cars as there is on the road, they aren't in J/Y's!

call some of the aftermarket dealers.
if they don't make one repo there should be some reconditioned bumpers for about 3/4 the price of new.

Try at www.car-part.com

If you can't find one on there I can look one up for you, I would need to know with or w/o chrome grille, with or w/o turbo, body color or flat black and if it is a dream cruiser.

It is a turbo, non Dream Cruiser. It has a body color bumper with a body color grill.

I'm still having trouble finding one. I've been calling and e-mailing all morining.

Try here

Condon's Auto Parts USA-MD(Westminster) 1-800-543-7274

Tell them you saw it on car-part for $150.00 and the Hollander number is 105-01527D

If that doesn't work out get me the last 9 of your vin and I can see if I can get you a better deal on a new one.

Chrysler has a program that they match the price of a aftermarket bumper covers and other collision parts, I own a Repair shop and have used this program before, what you do is get a estimate of the aftermarket cover and send it to your local dealership and they will sell you a Factory original cover at the same price. It is for a limited time and don't know for sure about your area, but worth a try.

Thanks, but it's the steel bumper and not the rubber cover.

Any other suggestions?
