Does anyone on the board have the paint codes for 1970 Dodge cars?

Was 999 Rallye Green actually available in 1970? I cannot recall ever seeing this color on anything Chrysler in 1970.

I don't recall seeing one either, but seeing as how 999 was simply "special order paint" and not a code for any particular color, I suppose it was possible.

It's a 1969 Spring Color, as indicated in the chart.

I've seen other instances of mid-year colors ending up on the following year's chart.

Could it have been special ordered by a customer and thus coded 999? Probably. I'm not aware of any documented examples.

My buddies Challenger is a 999 code & was originally Rally Green... He's painted it FJ6 so it can't be documented but FWIW I saw it & it had original color in the engine compartment, trunk & interior... Definitely Spring Green... He & his wife hated the color, & honestly it didn't look very good on a Challenger...

Maybe not, but wow!! repaint possibly the only rallye green challenger FJ6? Oh well, his car.

sorry for the mini hijack, BUT

The second chart lists the J5 as a metallic??? Im not so sure Ive ever noticed that?

I do not believe it is. The chart does not list Go Mango or Hemi Orange as metallics, but they are.
