Subject line pretty much says it all. Just curious.

See a nice Cordoba or Mirada every so often. I figure one would make an awsome cruiser with some late model power infused to replace the smogger 318.

Granted, you could easily spend more on the power train than the car in which you're installing it.

Surely someone has done some homework on it, but I Googled it and came up empty.

There's a guy on Facebook in Texas whos doing it in a Mirada (I believe). I deactivated my Facebook so I don't have the link on me.

That project looks more like grafting a Mirada body on to a Challenger than putting a Hemi in a Mirada. Definitely the opposite end of the budget spectrum than what I had in mind.

Did he graft the Mirada body onto the SRT8 chassis? (Hard to tell from my phone) a 5.7 in a FMJ car would sweet

Cut up a SRT8 Charger. Had to cut it down in just about every dimension to squeeze it inside the Mirada. Only thing Mirada left is the skin.

Well outside the scope of what I was contemplating.

I know you can fit a B/RB in an F body so I dont see why a 3rd gen hemi would be much tougher.
Have you checked at the F body websites?

Best place to call would be Bouchillon Performance in SC. They sell a lot of stuff for 3G Hemi swaps, and may know of someone who has dropped one in a Cordoba. I've got a 3G Hemi swapped into a 70 Duster, so if it will fit there...a Doba should be easy! Good luck in your search.

I know this is a really old thread, but I recently completed my Hemi Mirada project. I swapped an 08 Charger 5.7 Hemi/NAG1 drivetrain, complete electrical system, interior and HVAC into an 83 Mirada. I'll post some pics later.
