413 piston advice - 11/04/12 03:30 PM

Working on a friends 413, took it apart yesterday and it will need to be bored out. What are the best options for pistons? It seems like there's not many. Not looking for an all out race motor(its for a boat).

thanks

Maybe this may help you or point you in the right direction Scott. Check out the EGGE Machine Company website. The application for a 413 piston set is L2095-8 and it's possible that oversize pistons are available. Prices look decent. Good luck with your project.

Pistons aren't cheap for a 413 engine.
I bought a set of .060 over pistons at Jegs a few years ago and they carried .030, .040 and .060 over size at that time. Rings are another thing that isn't cheap if you go with the .030 or .040 over pistons.

I looked on Jegs website and they don't list pistons for a 413 now but Summit still does.

Thanks for the info. No forged pistons off the shelf it looks like, to bad I would think many 413's are still siting around.
