Dumb Question - 10/10/12 05:47 PM

Alternator slip-on connectors (blue and green wires) --- does it matter how they are connected to the alternator? If so, where do I land each one relative to the alternator? Tahnks

The green wire will be on the top post, the blue on the lower post..

Really makes NO difference. Unless you are a purist.

The two terminals are the opposite ends of the same 'wire'. It will work with the wires hooked up either way.

unless the wires' insulation is old/hardened & has taken a "set" & will fit better with less bending on one way than the other then as said either way is fine

The alternator field wires don't care which way they're connected.
