Verifying vin on project car?

Id like to know if there is a site or place I can give a vin # to verify that a super bee Im lookin at is legit, not stolen or some other issue. Id hate to buy something then sink a butt load of $$ into it and find out it's fishy..

Here. There are folks here that can tell you if the VIN you have is a SuperBee VIN. Wether it came on the car it's on now is another story.

First stop should be your local DMV or police department. Have a look at the title. Also, call your insurance company to see if there is any nationwide database that they have access to.
