I have a set of 906 heads that i want to put on a 1970 Superbird..

How do i figure out when they were made? Reading the casting date..

From my research, the 2843906 heads were manufactured for the '68, '69 and '70 model years only. They were used on the B/RB engines.

Thanks for the response. I know they were made for 68-70 B/RB engines. I'd like to know how to date them, as to when they were cast.

Ok i've found those cast numbers, they are 11228 and 11268.
I guess they are way off for my Superbird..

i guess i'll have to try and fix the original one..

I'm all for correctness, but since all 906's are the same and you can't see those dates unless you remove a valve cover...

I didn't care about the date code when I located my heads. I was just happy to find a good set.
