Another 2.7 question

I dodged the 2.7 bullet with my 2000 Concord I bought new and it lasted 175k trouble free miles.

I'm in the market for my daughter in college.

The majority of the 2.7 horror stories seem to be associated with the Concord/Intrepid cars. Did the Sebring / Avenger cars have more success with this motor?
