Distance from carb stud to rear of hood edge

looking for some help if someone has a b body with 4bbl and can measure the distance from carb stud to rear of where hood lip sits on cowl edge, trying to cut hole in hood for 67 ro superstock sccop and looking for a center front to back, i was told side to side off-set is 2.5, also my cars in paint waiting for hood and motor is out, Thanks in advance

I would wait until you get the car back from paint and put the motor in the car. You can cut the hole after paint as long as you mask the hood to protect the paint. Use 2 strings taped to the fenders & cowl and grill, then transfer the strings to the hood to find the center.
