how do u remove a hood pop up spring on a 71 challenger

never thought this would be hard to do until i had to try. not sure if there is some trick or just pry it out

If its the same as a B body I use a 7/16 1/4 drive socket on a long extension and pull the bolt out.

Grab the spring & twist..It will step over the raised area & pop out from the metal tang...

with a flat bladed screwdriver lift up the bent over tang on the header panel holding the spring down.(it doesn't take much )
Then grab the spring twist and slide it out
