Rear main 318

Well,the rope seal came out without any problems.The local parts store ordered a Fel-Pro rubber seal for me today.I need to know if there is a gasket between the pickup tube and main cap.Also where do I put silicone RTV on the rear main cap?Before I install the cap or after?
