I have one. I'm switching from a 440 to one of the third-gen 426s, so I have no use of it anymore. I have both the "hidden" and modern style intake manifolds and throttle bodies. I also have an Anderson Ford Motorsport PMS for the system that has never been installed since I decided to switch after I bought it.

Honest opinion:

I didn't like that the Mass-Flo system has ZERO feedback. It does work and it works fine. My dad has one of their systems on his Factory Five Cobra with a 347 and the fact that it works so well is why I bought one. The reason I have the Anderson Ford Motorsport PMS is because it will then give you all the feedback and allow you to tweak things without having to have a chip reprogrammed. I'm sure a great many of you have purchased things and then changed your mind about where your car is going.

If you want pictures of the system or anything else, let me know. If you have more specific questions about the Mass-Flo system, I may be able to answer them.

All Stock Fords use mass flo EFI, all this term means is that the EFI 'puter has a Mass Airflo (MAF) Sensor which actually measures the amount of air the enigne is using. The problem with this is that the engine is limited to the air that can pass thru the MAF. Other EFI systems work just fine without using a MAF, and consequently their airflow is only limited by the throttle body.

Mass-Flo is a company in Massachusetts that makes kits to put specific Ford EFI systems onto any engine with a distributor. The MAF sensor is by no means a big enough restriction to cause problems unless you're using a factory sensor that's incorrect for your application.

I'm presume this wasn't meant to be an all-encompassing statement? 5.0 Mustangs were speed-density thru '88, then 89+ was MF. Same engine in a Lincoln LSC was SD from 86-92. Lots of exceptions and variations, same as with Mopar.
