Z bar Intall Installing the rubber bushings over ball?

I have a mopar performance clutch shaft kit and am trying to install the little rubber bushings over the ball sockets. I see that it they are marked with ball side (side closest to the ball) but I can't seem to stretch them enough to go one. Any tips or tricks for getting them on?

Try a little lube...

just did this, little dab of grease on there, slides right over.......
