TRW to saginaw power steering pump advantages - 06/26/12 01:24 AM

I'm thinking of replacing my trw with a saginaw unit that I have ,rather than putting a new seal kit in the trw again.I have the brackets, Is there any advantage to doing so? or won't I notice the change in a 72 cuda with a 383

The TRW and Federal seem not to be able to keep up with really quick steering wheel inputs. Like if you were doing an autocross, slalom, fast U-turns, etc...

I personally think they are a little more durable too.

I like the fact that on a saginaw you can change the pressure side fitting, the TRW replacement parts seem to be harder to find, and pulleys for a saginaw are easier to find.

I just did this change myself.
