If you get a flat and only have a differnt diameter tire as a spare,can you drive it a few miles without hurting anything.

It won't be good.... If you can swap front to rear to keep a same size tire on the rear you'll be better off... Put the oddball spare up front..

I always made sure my spare was the same height as my drives.

In reality, it's unlikely that any two tires are exactly the same diameter and cars never travel in a perfectly straight line, so the differential clutch is always slipping a little anyhow; so a few miles at moderate speed isn't going to destroy anything.

Look at how many cars come from the factory with a dinky spare.

Do front wheel drive cars come with a "normal" clutch type diff? Or when a fwd Had "limited slip" is it a totally different design?

Every truck/SUV I've seen has come with a full size spare



Although some years of the viper came with a donut sized spare. I'll assume they came with LSD standard
