Painters: How does air pressure effect color? - 05/22/08 12:59 AM

I used to know this but have forgotten. How does the air pressure effect the color that is sprayed? Higher pressure/lighter shade etc????? I have to shoot a panel on my car and figured I should know this before I spray to get it to match if I need to. Thanks!!!

higher air pressure = more metallic suspended in different directions = lighter

lower air pressure = more time to flow out = more even layered metallic particles = darker color.

How do the HVLP guns play into this? Since they are running a lower pressure are they always going to have a darler color?
