Thanks!

I get mine at NAPA or Carquest.
Drums have shoes and disc have pads.

really depends on you. you can get some good shoes for drums. only downside i've found is they will want a power assist and don't work real good cold. i have a set of 11" carbon metallics that love heat and will stop as good anything i've owned, including discs. i think to get a real good disc set-up you'll need 12" or larger calipers with a power assist. i use 15" wheels so that puts a limit in size for what i do. i have an a-body disc conversion on my 65 coronet and as far as i'm concerned it isn't worth two dead flies!

sorry I am asking about alternate material brake shoes. I think the carbon metallics is what I was looking for.

how bad are the carbon metallics when cold? Are we talking about first driving cold or cold weather cold? Also can you just put CM shoes on the front?
thanks!
