Urgent Paint help question - tape left residue

In the middle of two-toning a hood. Painted the scoop black, fine line taped it then applied blue masking tape and paper to the rest. After shooting the rest of the hood, I peeled the tape off and the "clean release" blue tape left adhesive residue! What can I do to remove the residue without screwing up the base coat??


HELP!!!!!

Let it dry for a couple hours and try rubbing it off with clean hands if no workee, try wax and degreaser. That's what my paint guy just said. Mike

3M decal and adhesive remover wont hurt the base coat

Used some wax & grease remover. All good now

Isn't there already a thread on tape residue that won't die?
