My friend will give up his 70 6 way B-body seat track.

Will this work on 72 Satellite hi back buckets?

No, they are different. You'd need one from a '71 B-body. They are hard to find as they were only offered part of the model year. Also you will need under-floor reinforcement brackets but those are being reproduced.
