E body pistal grip handle in a A body 4 speed Shifter - 04/30/12 10:45 PM

I was able to remove the stock A body shift handle with a couple feeler gauges, not a problem.
But after comparing the E body to it, looks a though I need to modifie the E body handle.
From the posts Ive seen I thought it would just pop in and I was on my way.
I hate to grind on such a nice piece.

I would change the tower in the shifter to the bolt-on style.

How difficult is that to install?

complete teardown of the shifter. In The easy fix is to cut the pop in part off. Weld it to a short piece of flat stock. Drill the 2 holes and bolt the other shifter to it..
